Day 1 – The Opening Ceremony and Essay Presentation
Today is the first official agenda of SAMI Summer Course 2019 started with opening ceremony at 7.30 am that is located inside the Andi Hakim Nasoetion Rector Building. It is opened officially by Prof. Dr. Ir. Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat, M.Sc.F. as the Vice Rector for Collaboration and International System of IPB University. He also talks about Bogor tourism spots and landmarks, so hopefully the participants can know and enjoy the tourism area in Bogor. It is continued by the overview of International Cooperation of IPB University by Prof. Iskandar Z. Siregar, M.For.Sc as the Director of International Program of ICO IPB University. He explains about the potential geography of Bogor as the research center by many institutions including Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Forestry, and many more. It creates many collaboration in research and specific study field cooperation between IPB University with governmental or private institution in both national and international level. He also promotes IPB University as green campus and one of the best agricultural institutions in the world.
The second is the lecturing session by Muhamad Zaky, STP., MKKK from Center of Disaster Studies who talks about Safety Induction in IPB University especially in Management Department which the events are mainly placed. It aims to increase the knowledge and safety awareness of the participants if any disaster happens, so they can quickly save themself. The following lecturing session is delivered by Dr. Mukhamad Najib as the Risk Monitoring Committee at BRI Syariah Bank. He deliver the matter about Agrifood Integrated Marketing Management and Communication that mainly discuss about specific customer segmentation for business to start their marketing strategy for facing technological development nowadays. He also emphasizes the importance of marketing mix strategy for product consisting of product, price, place, and promotion.
