IPB Wins Second Champion in the Nation’s Work Loving Award 2016
Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) has been awarded as the second winner in “the Nation’s Work Loving Award” or Increased Use of Domestic Products (P3DN) for the category State Universities of Legal Entity in 2016. The award was submitted by the Indonesian Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartanto, on Tuesday (20/12), in the Garuda room, Ministry of Industry Building. The awards for the winners is established with the decree of the Minister of Industry No. 706 / M-IND / Kep / 11/2016 dated 14 November 2016 on the Award for an Increased Use of Domestic Products, the Nation’s Work-Loving Award Year 2016. IPVB’s Secretary of the Institute (SI), Dr. Ir. Ibn Qayim was given the opportunity to represent Rector to receive the award. Through the Nation’s Work Loving Award, Rector said that all state and private universities take part in encouraging the national industries to increase the Domestic Component Level (DCL), strengthen the basis of national products in order to compete in the domestic market and to be a priority for the government spending and business world, especially encouraging the commitment of all parties to continue to increase the use of domestic products. Assessment consists of four indicators, namely Commitment, Planning, Implementation, and Reporting in a constantly increased use of domestic products by the state universities of legal entity concerned. With the Presidential Instruction No. 2/2009 on the Use of Domestic Products in the Procurement of Goods / Services, each state institution is required to undertake its own steps appropriate to each given authority to maximize the use of the local products (goods and services), including national construction design and engineering, as well as give price preference to the domestically produced goods and national chartering services provider as stipulated in Presidential Regulation No. 70/2012 concerning the Second Amendment to Presidential Regulation No. 54/2010 concerning Procurement of Government goods / services. In order to encourage the implementation of optimal use of domestic products, the Minister of Industry has issued the Ministerial Decree No. 15/2011 on Guidelines for the Use of Domestic Products (goods/services). With the guidelines, Ministry of Industry each year assesses and ranks the Head of State Ministries, Agencies, Regional Unit, BI, State-Owned Legal Entity, State-Owned Enterprises, Region-Owned Enterprises, and the Actors of Cooperation Contract on the use of domestic products in the procurement of government’s goods / services.
