PRESS RELEASE SAMI SUMMER COURSE 2018

Summer Course SAMI 2018 offers participants a comprehensive understanding on sustainable agrifood management from upstream to downstream, from food manufacture to service and tourism. As a tropical country with rich biodiversity and food variety as well as huge demand on food, Indonesia is an interesting lesson learned. Participants will learn from lecturers and practicioners with multidiscipline backgrounds from various reputable universities and companies. Participants will also get to experience a learning from field trips to agrifood farm, manufacture dan service companies.
The welcoming event of SAMI 2018 was held in Bogor City Hall, August 5th 2018 with participants from various countries including India, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesia, and also staffs from Department of Management IPB. The event was attended by Mr. Bima Arya as the Mayor of Bogor City and his companions.
At 19:35 WIB, the master of ceremony started the welcoming event and allowed participants to had a dinner at the ballroom. After that, the event continued with a welcoming speech from Dean’s daily executor (Plh.) of Faculty of Economics and Management IPB, Dr. Mukhamad Najib, S.Tp, MM and followed by the speech from Mr. Bima Arya. After the speeches, there was a souvenir handover from Department of Management IPB to Mr. Bima Arya in the form of a plaque, certificate and souvenirs from various sponsors such as Nivea, Pepsodent, Wardah, and Tri. The event was finished with a group photo of the participants with staffs from Department of Management IPB, the Mayor of Bogor City and his companions.
